VAN VLIET Stephan

earned his PhD in Kinesiology and Community Health as an ESPEN Fellow from the University of Illinois and received post-doc training at the Center for Human Nutrition in the School of Medicine at Washington University. He is a member of the Duke Molecular Physiology Institute within the School of Medicine at Duke University. His research is performed at the nexus of agricultural and human health. As such, it links food production systems to the nutrient density of food sources and their effects on human metabolic health, using high-throughput techniques (incl. metabolomics and proteomics). His work has been published in various journals (e.g., the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, Journal of Nutrition, Journal of Physiology).
