EMANUELSON Ulf

obtained a MSc in Animal Science in 1980 and a PhD in 1987, both at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences (SLU). Since 2004, he is Professor in Veterinary Epidemiology at SLU, with analytical epidemiology as main expertise. He is involved in teaching epidemiology to veterinary students, veterinary nurse students, and students in a MSc-program of infectious biology. His main research focus is on production diseases in dairy cows, but it includes also other types of diseases, impaired productivity, welfare, and antimicrobial use and resistance, as well as health and welfare in other animal species. Research is not only based on available secondary databases, but also on large-scale field studies.
